My Notes

First read the hearing protection guide thread on TheHighRoad.org for a good introduction.

Loudness is measured in decibels (dB). This is logarithmic measurement, every increase of 3dB doubles the sounds intensity. Generally however it will take a 10dB increase for us to perceive the volume as twice as loud.

My notes

Here are some specific notes I've made on configuring or using Linux.

	* Setting up a web server with Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn Desktop Edition

Ubuntu Linux

Ubuntu Linux sounds like the best distribution for my needs. It is easy to use, based on Debian, and the desktop version comes with GNOME. An alternative version called Kubuntu comes with KDE instead of GNOME. Other variations include Xubuntu and Fluxbuntu.

Introduction

Getting bigger and stronger involves three main parts:

	* training or exercise program
	* diet
	* rest

To make decent progress, all three need to be taken care of.

The best approach will depend on where you are now and where you want to be at. There is no overall universal best training method or diet that will work for everyone. You need to define your goals, analyze your current state, and then develop a plan from there.
