I just came across globalrichlist.com which allows you to enter your annual salary and it then tells you how you stand in terms of wealth compared to the world’s population.
Putting in a low (by Australian standards) annual income of say USD$20,000 puts you in the top 11%. An annual income of USD$1,000 still puts you in the top 44%! Shows us how lucky we are and how poor the majority of people in the world are.
